Growing up I never really wanted to be a chef. I actually wanted to be an EMT and a pilot . How I actually became a chef was one day when I decided to go into the kitchen and make dinner for my family. They were all surprised by what I did on my first try . After that I came to realize beside sport and everything else this was my god given talent . Growing up I had many people who doubted me and didn't believe in me but I believed in myself and kept going and it took me this far.
Who inspired me, my grandmother inspired me to become the man who I am today. She inspired me from when I was young growing up. She always used to cook for the church and all the school kids on a day to day basis . She used to use her own money and cook for the church minister for free and watching her do that gave me the drive to cook and give back when I can no matter what it takes.
Cooking, to me, is a way I express myself. I compare cooking to art. The plate is my canvas and the food and utensils are the tools and supplies I use to paint my canvas. Cooking is not a job or career to me it is my lifestyle, it is my love, it is my passion, it is my way of life. Cooking is an art and art is the way of life that helps me express myself in a way where people can feel and connect to me.

I love thinking outside the box and working with different ingredients. I also love to experiment with different items, even putting different cultures together to create a fusion food.
